Miroslav Tomeš (born September 18, 1985 in Frýdlant ) is a former Czech biathlete .

Miroslav Tomeš trained and lives in Jablonec nad Nisou . He started biathlon in 2000 and became part of the Czech national team in 2003. His club was the SKP Jappenx , where he was trained by Petr Graclík, towards the end of his career Jiskra Josefův Důl . His first international race Tomeš denied in the context of the Junior World Championships 2004 in Haute-Maurienne , where he was 29th of the sprint, tenth of the pursuit and sixth of the individual. With Milan Faltus, Ondřej Moravec and Michal Šlesingr , he won the silver medal in the relay race behind the German and in front of the Russian representation. This was followed by the junior races of the European Championships in Minsk in 2004 , in which Tomeš was 25th in individual and sprint and 22nd in the pursuit and with Milan Faltus, Ondřej Moravec and Petr Hradecký fifth in the relay race. In the further course of the year he also took part in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2004 in Osrblie and came in 12th in the sprint, 20 in the pursuit and 19 in the mass start race. With Šlesingr and Moravec he also won the gold medal in the relay race.

At the junior races of the European Championships in Novosibirsk in 2005 , Tomeš missed a medal by just one place on the side of Petr Hradecký, Pavel Suchánek and Ondřej Moravec as fourth in the relay race. In the individual, he finished eleventh, ninth in the sprint and tenth in the pursuit. The Junior World Championships followed in 2005 in Kontiolahti . Here Tomeš was 13th of the individual, 23rd of the sprint, 21st of the pursuit and with Hradecký, Suchánek and Moravec fifth in the relay competition. He achieved his greatest success later that year at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2005 in Muonio . First he started in the juniors and finished ninth in the sprint and tenth in the pursuit and mass start. For the relay race he moved up to the Czech A team and won the world title alongside Michal Šlesingr, Ondřej Moravec and Jaroslav Soukup . In 2006 he took part in Presque Isle for the third and last time in the Junior World Championships , in which he was 26th of the individual, tenth of the sprint, 13th of the pursuit race and eighth in the relay race. The last international championships were the junior races of the European Championships 2006 in Langdorf Tomeš could not confirm the results of previous years and was 37th in the individual, 33rd in the sprint and 32nd in the pursuit race. In the 2006/07 season he came to the European Cup several times . The best result was a 47th place in an individual in Cesana San Sicario . He also competed in an FIS race and two races in the Slavic Cup in cross-country skiing . After the season he ended his career.
