Misikir Mekonnin

Misikir Mekonnin (born July 23, 1986 ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner . For a short time it started under the name Teyba Nasser for Bahrain .

In 2008 she won the Heart of the Summer 10K and in 2009 the Columbus Half Marathon and the National Race to End Women's Cancer. In 2010 she set a course record in the Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon and came second in the Los Angeles Marathon . As in the previous year, she also came second in the Cooper River Bridge Run. In the fall, she won the Long Beach Half Marathon and finished fourth in the Honolulu Marathon .

The following year she finished second in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon , ninth in the Philadelphia Half Marathon , eleventh in the New York City Marathon and second in Honolulu.

In 2012 a course record in the Hong Kong Marathon was followed by a second place in Los Angeles and a fifth in the Prague Marathon .
