Missouri State University
The Missouri State University is a state university in Springfield in the US state of Missouri . With 20,606 students, it is the second largest university in Missouri. In addition to the main campus in Springfield, there is a location in West Plains and a research campus in Mountain Grove, as well as various programs in China .

Missouri State University was founded in 1905 and was known as Southwest Missouri State University until 2005 .
