Mitchell Anderson (born June 28, 1975 in Geelong ) is an Australian triathlete and Ironman winner (2005). He is on the best list of Australian triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Mitchell Anderson started as a professional athlete in 2008.
He is mainly active in competitions on the long or Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

So far he has qualified five times for the Ironman World Championship and he achieved his best placement in 2004 when he was eleventh in Hawaii. In November 2005 he won the Ironman Western Australia . On the long distance, he won the Strongman All Japan Triathlon in April 2009 .

His nicknames are The Major , The Kaiser , The Flying Doctor or Mitch . Since 2014 Mitchell Anderson no longer appears in the result lists of international competitions.
