Jason Shortis (born May 6, 1970 in Sale ) is a former Australian triathlete and multiple Ironman winner (2002, 2004, 2005, 2006).

Career

In 1984 Jason Shortis started his first triathlon.

In 1998 he finished fifth at the World Triathlon Long Distance Championship. "Shorto" has successfully started 83 times in his 22-year professional career over the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and he was able to achieve five victories in the long distance.

Jason Shortis ended his professional career in December 2014. He lives in Queensland with his wife Nicole and a daughter and is now a coach.
