Mlijiw ( Ukrainian Мліїв ; Russian Млиев Mlijew ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Cherkassy with about 3800 inhabitants (June 2013).

Mlijiw is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in the northeast of Horodyschtsche Raion , to which the villages Budo-Orlowezka ( Будо-Орловецька , ⊙ ) with about 430 inhabitants and Starosillja ( Старосілля , ⊙ ) with about 2200 inhabitants belong since June 2017 .
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1499, was probably founded in the time of the Kievan Rus .
The village is located on the bank of the Vilschanka ( Вільшанка ), a 100 km long tributary of the Dnieper , and on the territorial road T-24-08 8 km northeast of the Horodyschtsche district center and 52 km west of the Cherkasy oblast center .
