Mohammad Nosrati (born January 10, 1982 in Karaj ) is an Iranian former football player .

Career

youth

Nosrati started playing football in his hometown at Keshavarz Karaj . There he was discovered and came to Keshavarz Tehran in the capital Tehran before moving to the youth department of the first division club Pas Tehran .

Club career

After a one-year detour to Abu Muslim Mashhad , Nosrati played again for Pas Tehran in 2001. There he became one of the pillars of the team that became Iranian champions in 2004. Various European clubs quickly became aware of him, offers etc. a. from Dinamo Zagreb he turned it down because he wanted to play in a better league. In 2005, the rumors of change stopped when he signed a new three-year contract with Pas. After Pas Tehran was dissolved and the club moved to Hamadan , Nosrati moved to the Iranian record champions Persepolis Tehran and became Iranian champions last season . After only one year he left the capital city club and signed a one-year contract with Al-Nasr Sports Club Dubai in the UAE in August 2008 . From 2010 he played again in his home country until the end of his career in 2018.

International career

In 2002, Nosrati made his debut for the Iranian national team in a game against Jordan . In the same year he was part of the team that won gold at the Asian Games .

In qualifying for the 2006 World Cup , he managed the decisive goal against Bahrain after a cross from Ferydoon Zandi with a header , which ensured participation. Then he was also part of the squad for the tournament and played all three games in the tournament, which was disappointing for Iran.
