Mohamed Gammoudi ( Arabic محمد القمودي, DMG Muḥammad al-Qammūdī ), actually Mohamed Tlili ben Abdallah  /محمد التليلي بن عبد الله / Muḥammad at-Talīlī b. ʿAbd Allāh (born February 11, 1938 in Sidi Ach , Tunisia), is a Tunisian athlete who started in long-distance disciplines.

Gammoudi became the first Tunisian ever to become an Olympic champion and won a total of four medals at the Olympic Games. His greatest success is the Olympic victory in Mexico in 1968 in the 5000 meter run in 14: 05.0 min, where he defeated Kipchoge Keino from Kenya in a sprint with a brilliant final round in 54.8 seconds . At that time, Keino was world record holder over 3000 m and 5000 m. His performance was all the more astonishing as he had already won the bronze medal in the 10,000 meter run in 29: 34.2 minutes, although he was not born at high altitude in Tunisia like the Kenyan wonder runners and rarely trained there. Before the Olympic Games, however, Gammoudi had improved his personal best over 5000 m on July 3, 1968 to 13: 38.8 min and was thus one of the favorites. It was then his third medal at the Olympic Games. He had already won the silver medal in the 10,000m run in Tokyo in 1964. In 1972 at the Olympic Games in Munich he won the silver medal over 5000 m. In 1976 in Montreal - now 38 years old - he took part in his fourth Olympic Games and then ended his running career, which began in 1962.
