Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Bishr

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Bishr ( Arabic محمد بن عبد الرحمن البشر, DMG Muḥammad b. ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān al-Bišr ; * 1955 in Riyadh ) is a Saudi diplomat . He is currently the ambassador of the servant of the two holy places to the government of Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum in Abu Dhabi ( United Arab Emirates ).

Education

He earned a Masters and PhD in Political Linguistics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale . His specialty are intellectual, cultural and intercultural studies. He also received a doctorate in economics .

Career

In 1974 he began his professional career as a teaching assistant at King Saud University . At King Faisal University he was Dean of the Department of Economics and was an advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Water. In 1988 he was appointed deputy head of the state grain silo and mills. From 2000 to 2004 he was ambassador to Beijing . From July 16, 2004 to January 7, 2014 he was ambassador in Rabat . Since May 20, 2014 he has been the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates. The United Arab Emirates are the main financier of Operation Restoring Hope .
