Abdulrahman ben Mohamad al Gdaia

Abdulrahman ben Mohamad al Gdaia ( Arabic عبد الرحمن بن محمد الجديع, DMG ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān b. Muḥammad al-Ǧudayyaʿ ; Born January 16, 1950 ) is a Saudi diplomat .

Education

He studied political science and public administration . In 1985 he received his PhD in Political Science from Northern Arizona University on the subject of nuclear proliferation in third world countries , analysis of decision-making in India and Pakistan.

Career

From August 3, 1999 to 2008, he was Consul General in New York City and a member of the Saudi delegation to the United Nations Disarmament Commission in the session from April 9 to 27, 2007 of the General Assembly of the United Nations under Naif ibn Abd al-Aziz . From May 20, 2008 to May 20, 2014, he was ambassador to Stockholm and, from December 11, 2008, he was also accredited to Oslo at the same time . During his tenure as ambassador in Stockholm, Waleed Abulkhair was invited to the presentation of the Olof Palme Prize in Stockholm, which is why the Olof Palme Memorial Fund applied to Gdaia in vain for a travel permit for the award ceremony.

From February 12, 2014 to 2015 he was ambassador in Rabat . Mohammed VI (Morocco) relocated six General Dynamics F-16s to the United Arab Emirates and is participating in Operation Restoring Hope .

During his tenure as ambassador to Rabat, Salman ibn Abd al-Aziz made his inaugural visit to Tangier on August 2, 2015.
