Mohinder Singh Gill

Mohinder Singh Gill (born April 12, 1947 ) is a former Indian long and triple jumper .

In 1970 he won bronze in the triple jump at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and gold at the Asian Games in Bangkok .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he was eliminated in the long jump and triple jump in qualification.

The following year he won the triple jump at the Asian Athletics Championships.

In 1974 he won silver in the triple jump at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and at the Asian Games in Tehran .

Starting for California Polytechnic State University , he was NCAA champion in 1970 and 1971 and triple jump NCAA indoor champion in 1971.

In 1970 he was awarded the Arjuna Award .
