Roman Valiev

Roman Gasisowitsch Walijew ( Russian Роман Газизович Валиев , English transcription Roman Valiyev; born March 27, 1984 in Orenburg ) is a Kazakh triple jumper .

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens he remained in qualification without a valid attempt, and at the 2005 Asian Athletics Championships he was fourth. In 2006 he won the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships and won silver at the Asian Games in Doha .

In 2008 he defended his title at the Asian Indoor Championships and was eliminated from qualifying at the Olympic Games in Beijing .

The following year he won the Asian Championships. In 2010 he won bronze at the Asian Indoor Championships. At the Athletics Continental Cup in Split he was eighth and sixth at the Asian Games in Guangzhou . In 2011 he won bronze at the Asian Championships.

In 2012, a fourth place at the Asian Indoor Championships was followed by another preliminary round at the Olympic Games in London .

In 2013 he finished fourth at the Asian Championships and did not get past the first round at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow . The following year he won silver at the Asian Indoor Championships in 2014 and failed in the first round of the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Sopot . In 2015 he won bronze at the Asian Championships and was eliminated in the first round of the World Cup in Beijing .
