Molson Coors Europe

Molson Coors Europe (until 2012: StarBev ) is a subsidiary of Molson Coors based in Prague , which emerged from the merger of Molson Coors Central Europe with Molson Coors UK & Ireland . Molson Coors Europe is the UK's second largest brewery group, operates over 30 brands and employs more than 7,300 people.

history

StarBev was written in December 2009, when Anheuser-Busch InBev parts of the brewery business in Central and Eastern Europe seceded and performance-based for $ 2.2 billion and an option on 800 million USD additional payment of funds of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners sold. StarBev's turnover in 2011 was 695 million euros, and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were 241 million euros. The company employed 4,100 people in nine countries, and the annual output in 2011 was 13 million hectoliters.

In 2012, Molson Coors bought StarBev for € 2.65 billion and renamed the company Molson Coors Central Europe .

In January 2013, Molson Coors Central Europe merged with Molson Coors UK & Ireland to form Molson Coors Europe .

Molson Coors Europe has breweries in several European countries:

Under license from Anheuser-Busch InBev , the brands Stella Artois , Beck’s , Löwenbräu and Spaten are brewed for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary and Hoegaarden and Leffe are sold in these countries. Anheuser-Busch InBev holds the rights to brew Staropramen in Russia and Ukraine and to sell it in various countries.
