Monaschi ( Ukrainian Монаші ; Russian Монаши , Romanian Manași ) is a village in the Ukrainian Odessa Oblast with about 850 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1824, is located in Budschak , the southern part of the historical landscape of Bessarabia, and is the only town in the 44.088 km² district council of the same name in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyj district . The village is located on the right bank of the Alkaliya ( Алкалія ), a 67 km long tributary of the Burnas Liman . Initially located on both banks of the river, Monaschi had a total of 160 farms in 1875. In 1898, German colonists acquired the state land on one of the banks, so that in 1900 there were only 96 farms in the village.
Monashi is located 24 km west of the district center Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyj and 80 km southwest of the Oblast center Odessa . In the village, the regional road P-70 coming from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyj meets the trunk road M15 between Odessa and Ismajil .
