Monthshausen is a district of the municipality of Tutzing in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg .
geography
The church village is about four kilometers west of Tutzing in the south of the Starnberg district on the southern slope of a foothills of the Berndorfer Buchet .
history
Several burial mounds in the maize forest south-east of the village date from the Bronze and Iron Ages .
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1078 as Manolteshusen , when a Count Adelbert bequeathed a farm to the Benediktbeuern monastery .
Initially subordinated to the Pähl regional court district , in 1597monthshausen becomes part of the Hofmark Tutzing, which was owned by the Dichtl patrician family from 1519 to 1650 . The Dichtl were followed by the Heimhausen and Götzengrien families as owners of the Hofmark before it came to the Counts of Vieregg in 1730 .
In 1752, nine properties are mentioned in MONTIESHAUSEN, four of the Hofmark Tutzing, two of the Benediktbeuern monastery and one each of the Seefeld rulership , the Hl. Geist Spital Weilheim and Gmein. The church tithe belonged to the Dießen monastery .
It was not until 1848 that the patrimonial jurisdiction of the Counts of Vieregg was lifted.
