Traubing is a district of the municipality of Tutzing and a district in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg .

location

The parish village of Traubing is located between Ammer and Starnberger See about two and a half kilometers south of Aschering , two and a half kilometers east of Machtlfing and west of federal highway 2 . The substrate are würmzeitliche end and side moraine or melt water ballast at an altitude 661 and interlocutory 683 m above sea level. NN .

The towns of Deixlfurt , Obertraubing and Traubing are located in the Traubing district. Its extension largely corresponds to the area of the former municipality of the same name.

history

The place Traubing was mentioned in 1005 as Trupinga in a document of the Benediktbeuern monastery . The community of Traubing, consisting of Deixlfurt, Obertraubing and Traubing, was dissolved on January 1, 1978 in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria and incorporated into Tutzing.

Public facilities

In Traubing there is the Roman Catholic parish church Mariae Birth, the Catholic kindergarten St. Maria and a state primary school. The Traubing volunteer fire brigade provides fire protection and general help, especially at the local level.
