Monica Barendrecht

Monica Barendrecht (born September 9, 1953 in Rotterdam ) is a German librarian and literary translator .

Life

Monica Barendrecht completed a degree in pedagogy and library science . Today she lives in Tübingen and works as a librarian at the city ​​library there . In addition, translated them, along with Thomas Charpey , Fiction from the Dutch into German . In 1996 Barendrecht and Charpey received the translation prize of the Austrian Children's and Young Adult Book Prize for their translation of Willem van Toorn's work "Carrot, Mole and First Love".
