The Mont Vinaigre (German Essigberg ) is at 614  m , according to other information 618  m, the highest mountain in the Esterel Mountains in Provence in southern France.

The mountain is located in the area of the municipality of Les Adrets-de-l'Estérel . It is part of the Forêt domaniale (community forest) d 'Esterel and is under nature protection . The mountain is partially forested, but the original vegetation of cork oaks and chestnut trees was destroyed by numerous forest fires, so that today maquis predominates. However, parts of Mont Vinaigre also have a rocky character.

From the west a forest road leads up to a few hundred meters from the summit. From here a road, then a footpath, leads to the summit. This path is marked and part of the GR 51 hiking trail that crosses the mountain in a west-east direction. Another route reaches Mont Vinaigre from the north, from the Logis de Paris settlement . There is an old observation tower on the summit, but it is not accessible, as well as transmission systems. From here you have a beautiful view of the coast to the Italian Riviera , of the Massif de la Sainte-Baume and the Montagne Sainte-Victoire , but also of the Alps . The mountain is also a popular destination for mountain bikers thanks to the good paths .
