Montainville is a village and a former French community with 301 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Chartres and the Canton of Voves .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the previous municipalities of Voves , Montainville , Rouvray-Saint-Florentin and Villeneuve-Saint-Nicolas were merged into a Commune nouvelle called Les Villages Vovéens and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Voves.

In addition to the main settlement of the same name, the hamlets of Bois-Saint-Martin, La Doderie, Le Grand-Chavernay, Meigneville, Moulin de Chavernay, Moulin de Villequoy and Villequoy also belong to the former municipality of Montainville . Neighboring towns are Boncé in the north, Pézy (point of contact) in the northeast, Villeneuve-Saint-Nicolas in the east, Rouvray-Saint-Florentin in the southeast, Le Gault-Saint-Denis in the southwest and Meslay-le-Vidame in the west.
