The Monte Tremalzo is located in the mountain group Garda Mountains south of Ledrosee and marks the boundary between the Autonomous province of Trento (Region South Tyrol ) and the Province of Brescia ( Lombardy ).

The starting point for an ascent is the Rifugio Garda. The hut can be reached from the north via the Tremalzopass on an asphalt mountain road that begins in the Ledro Valley on Lake Ampola . The mountain hiker reaches the summit in 45 minutes via a mountain path exposed in the upper part.

The summit offers views: to the north of the nearby Lake Ledro, to the west to the Adamello group and to the south-east to Lake Garda .
