The Monticello Regional Airport ( IATA : MXO , ICAO : KMXO ) is the airport of the city of Monticello in Jones County in eastern US -amerikanischen state of Iowa . It is located 2.8 km southeast of the center of the city. The airport is owned by the city of Monticello and is used for general aviation in the area.

Monticello Regional Airport is about 55 miles west of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois and Wisconsin . The freeway US Highway 151 and Iowa Highway 38 intersect immediately to the northwest of the airport .
