The Waterloo Regional Airport ( IATA : ALO , ICAO : KALO ), also known as Livingston Betsworth Field known is the airport of Waterloo and Cedar Falls in Black Hawk County of in the middle northeastern US -amerikanischen state of Iowa . The airport is open all the time and is owned by the City of Waterloo.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the airport, which is part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, as a nonhub primary commercial service airport based on the number of 22,297 departing passengers (in 2011) .

location

The airport is located in the extreme northwest of the urban area of ​​Waterloo and directly on the eastern city limits of the neighboring city of Cedar Falls. Downtown Waterloo is 6 miles to the southeast and central Cedar Falls is 6 miles to the southwest on US Highway 218 .

Furnishing

The airport has three runways, each with a concrete or asphalt surface. There is a passenger terminal and the bases of the two rental car companies Hertz and Avis .
