The Dubuque Regional Airport ( IATA : DBQ , ICAO : KDBQ ) is the airport of the city of Dubuque in Dubuque County in the US -amerikanischen State Iowa . It is twelve kilometers southwest of the city. The airport is owned by the city of Dubuque and is used for general aviation as well as scheduled and charter traffic in the region at the interface of the three states of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin .

The Dubuque Regional Airport is not far from the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois and a few kilometers further north to Wisconsin. Immediately north of the airport, US Highway 151 and US Highway 61 , which have been converted into a freeway, meet and lead on a common route northeast to Dubuque.
Airport facilities
The Dubuque Regional Airport has a total area of around 400 hectares. It has two concrete runways and is open all day. The airport has a terminal with three gates and a passenger boarding bridge as well as a baggage handling system for handling passengers . There are two rental car locations on the airport grounds.

American Eagle flies to Chicago O'Hare International Airport several times a day .
