The Southeast Iowa Regional Airport ( IATA : BRL , ICAO : KBRL ) is the airport of Burlington in Des Moines County in the southeast of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa . The airport is continuously open and owned by the City of Burlington , the City of West Burlington, and Des Moines County .
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the airport, which is part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, as a non-primary commercial service airport based on the number of 10,866 departing passengers (in 2011) .
location
The airport is located southwest of the Burlington metropolitan area and near the Mississippi , which forms the border between Iowa and Illinois . Burlington city center is around three kilometers north on Sumner Street.
Furnishing
The airport has two runways, each with a concrete or asphalt surface. There is a passenger terminal and a base for the rental car company Avis .
