The Monzeler Hüttenkopf , also just called Hüttenkopf , is 423.4 m above sea level. NHN the second highest point in the Moselle mountains . It is located near Monzel in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Bernkastel-Wittlich .

The Monzeler Hüttenkopf rises west of Monzel, the southern part of the municipality Osann-Monzel , and northwest of Kesten . The Lieser tributary Oestelbach flows through Osann to the north , and the Dreisbach from southwest to south , which, like the Lieser, feeds the Moselle that flows past southeast .
On the mountain are part of the protected landscape Mosel area of Schweich to Koblenz ( CDDA -No 323051;. Reported 1979 1,187.48 square kilometers in size).
Natural allocation
The Monzeler Hüttenkopf belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Moselle Valley (No. 25) and in the main unit Middle Moselle Valley (250) to the sub-unit Moselle Mountains (250.2). The landscape falls to the east and south-east into the natural area Osann-Veldenzer Umlaufberge (250.31), which belongs to the subunit Middle Moselle (250.3). To the north to northwest it leads over into the subunit Klausener Hügelland (251.2), which belongs to the main unit Wittlicher Senke (251).
