Mooringen ( Low German Mooringen ) is a district of the municipality Lilienthal in the district of Osterholz in Lower Saxony .

geography

The place is one kilometer south of Worpswede , eight kilometers northeast of Lilienthal and nine kilometers southeast of Osterholz-Scharmbeck . The place is limited to the north by the Semkenfahrt .

history

Mooringen was founded in 1778 as part of the moor colonization . In 1789 it is stated that the place so far consists of two houses with eleven residents, including six children, and that twenty more houses are planned.
