Moss ranks

The Moosrangen is a wooded hill southeast of Arzberg in Upper Franconia . The summit is 599  m above sea level. NHN in the middle of the Arzberger forest in the Bavarian part of the Kohlwald in the southeastern Fichtelgebirge .

Waters

The Grenzbach , which rises from two source streams on the northeast slope of the Moosrangen, is a larger watercourse in the Kohlwald. It flows along the German - Czech border in a northerly direction and flows south of Fischern into the Röslau .

In earlier years there was an important road to Eger ( Cheb ) on the south side .

Also in earlier years there were coal piles for iron smelting in Arzberg (Upper Franconia).

In protected landscape blue column line located 3 collect wind turbines of the type Nordex N117 / 2400 with a total height of each 199 m with a rotor diameter of 117 m 1 wherein the rotor blade 57 is m long and weighs 10.4 metric tons. The standard energy capacity per system and year is 6.5 million kWh .
