The Moosterbach , also just called Mooster , is a left tributary of the Elde in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The stream rises in the local area of Suckow in the municipality of Ruhner Berge , east of the mountain range of the same name and about two kilometers east of the town of Mooster at an altitude of about 56 meters above sea level . It initially runs in a north-westerly direction and includes several streams and ditches, some of which come from the Ruhner Mountains, as well as the Kriengraben and Mühlenbach on the left. In the municipality of Siggelkows the course changes to the north, after flowing through the village Siggelkow to the east. About a kilometer north of Groß Pankow, the Moosterbach flows into an oxbow lake on the left in the south of the Gischow district of the city of Lübz .
In its 11.5-kilometer-long and largely straightened course, the stream overcomes a height difference of around ten meters. The watercourse mostly runs through fields and meadows. A forest area is crossed for about one kilometer above Siggelkow.
Eel, aland, chub, tench, carp, pike, bream, perch, ruff, roach, roach, günster and stickleback are found in the Moosterbach.
The brook is symbolized in the form of a wavy strip in the coat of arms of the municipality of Siggelkow.
