The Mordaualm is a pasture in Lattengebirge in the field of district forestry Taubensee the town of Ramsau .

Two Kaser of the Mordaualm are under monument protection and are registered under the number D-1-72-129-70 in the Bavarian monument list.

Building description

The Kederbacherkaser is a single-storey, überkämmter block construction with flat gabled roof and Legschindeldeckung . The door frame inside is marked with the year 1912, the core of the building was probably built in the first half of the 19th century.

The Gschoßkaser is a single-storey, plastered stone building with a knee-height block and gable, flat gable roof and leg clapboard covering . The building was erected in the 18th or 19th century.

The Taubenseekaser is the northernmost of the three castles on the Almbichl. This was torn away in an avalanche in 1954, the current building was rebuilt around 2000.

The northernmost hut, the Guggenbichlkaser from 1866, was in poor condition in the second half of the 19th century, the roof was dilapidated and some of it had already collapsed.

Three Kaser of the Mordaualm are served in the summer months from May to September.

location

The Mordaualm is located on the way from Taubensee to the Lattengebirge at an altitude of 1190  m above sea level. NN . The path from the Taubensee car park runs on a forest road, which is why the Mordaualm is also easy to reach for mountain bikers .

Others

Former Brunner Kaser , a 12 x 12 m large round Kaser from the year 1507, was dismantled in 1987 and in the open-air museum Glentleiten translocated .
