geography
course
The river rises in the Eastern Ore Mountains southeast of the Czech village Krasný Les (German Schönwald ) in the municipality Petrovice (German Peterswald ) as Slatina . The headwaters at about 680 m is a wooded swamp area that has been cultivated by ponds and drains northwards via the Slatina. One of the ponds has two drains, similar to a bifurcation . The other, western one is called Rybný potok (Fischbach) and is the source of the Gottleuba .
After about 2.3 kilometers, the stream is crossed by the D8 motorway before the course of the river, already combined with other source streams, east of the Oelsener Höhe at around 515 m above sea level. NN . touches German territory and runs a short distance as Grenzbach. Here the current Mordgrundbach runs in a notch valley, the so-called Mordgrund ( Mordová rokle in Czech ), the slopes of which rise up to 80 m above the valley floor. The Hammergut and Mühlengut Bienhof were located here. At the exit of murder reason is still above the village Bärhau the retention basin murder basic brook . Below the lake and the town Bärhau it reaches the town of Bright village of Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel where the murder Grundbach then left and finally the southwest into the here and Buschbach called Bahra opens that does not arise far from him.
