The film is a short biography of the French doctor and astrologer Nostradamus (1503–1566). Examples of fulfilled prophecies are shown. So Nostradamus told a young priest that he would become Pope, which he did. World War II was predicted in Nostradamus' writings.

When the Academy Awards were presented in 1941 , the film was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Short Film (One-Reel) category.
