Morgan J. Freeman

Morgan J. Freeman (born December 5, 1969 in Long Beach , California ) is an American director and screenwriter .

Freeman studied film in Santa Barbara , at the Sorbonne in Paris and at New York University . During an internship, he met Todd Solondz , for whom he then worked as an assistant director at Willkommen im Tollhaus (Welcome to the Dollhouse) . His first own film, Hurricane, was a huge critical hit and the first film to receive three awards at the Sundance Film Festival . Since then Freeman has written and directed several, often independently produced, films. The best known is American Psycho II: The Horror Continues .

He also shot several videos and episodes of the hit television series Dawson's Creek . In 2003, he developed the MTV - reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (successor mission 2007: Maui Fever ). Furthermore, since 2010 he has mainly worked as an executive producer of various television formats.
