Moritz Herrmann
Moritz Herrmann (* 1987 in Rostock ) is a German journalist and author .
Live and act
Herrmann went to school in Hamburg and grew up in the Winterhude district . He studied journalism and history in Bremen . He then attended the Henri Nannen School .
Herrmann writes for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit , the magazine Geo , the society magazine Dummy and 11Freunde . He repeatedly caused a sensation with extraordinary research. During his research, he spent a day in a phone booth, two days in a glass house in Sweden, or a week only in pajamas. For one report he drove on Germany's highways for a month, for another he rattled almost every whiskey distillery in the US state of Tennessee , and for another he ate only Camembert for a week. During a report on the traditional and sacred Thai tattoo art Sak Yant, he had one of these painful emblems stabbed in Bangkok.
Herrmann was awarded the German Reporter Prize in 2018 .
Private
Herrmann's great-great-grandfather is the Lower Sorbian writer and folk poet Fryco Rocha . The writer Brigitte Reimann is his great-aunt. Herrmann is in a relationship with the journalist Vivian Alterauge and has a daughter.
