Moritz Knobloch
Eduard Moritz Knobloch (born July 18, 1851 in Holdenstedt , Sangerhausen district , † October 24, 1923 ) was a German administrative lawyer and member of parliament.
Life
After graduating from the Martin-Luther-Gymnasium Eisleben , Knobloch began to study law at the University of Leipzig . In 1872 he became a member of the Corps Plavia , in which he proved himself as consenior . As an inactive , he moved to the Royal University of Greifswald and the Friedrichs University of Halle . After the exams he became a magistrate . He was a lieutenant in the Prussian Landwehr . Knobloch was elected mayor of Sangerhausen on October 30, 1881 and was introduced to his office on January 30, 1882. He held it for 37 years until 1919. He was a district deputy and sat in the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony . He was a member of the General Synod of the Church Province of Saxony. As a national liberal , he was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency Sangerhausen-Eckartsberga in 1898 .
