Knight Moritz Perczel von Bonyhád , Hungarian Perczel Mór , (born November 14, 1811 in Tolna , † May 25, 1899 in Bonyhád , Hungary ) was a Hungarian revolutionary general.

Perczel set up a volunteer corps on September 16, 1848 at the cost of the country, and with it forced the 10,000-man army corps under Roth and Philippovich to open arms in the open. For this he was appointed major general. On December 31st he was attacked by the Austrians near Moor and most of his corps was blown up. Perczel went with the newly formed volunteer corps for relief from Petrovaradin to Banat , where he won very quickly to win victory since March 22, as in Zombor , Sireg and Horgos . He then strengthened the garrison of Peterwardein. Later he took the Serb castle near Szettmanás , but was pushed as far as Szegedin by the main Austro-Russian power . Since he did not agree to the plans of Görgeys and the government, he was removed from his command on July 29th. Regardless of this, Perczel fought under Count Henryk Dembiński near Temesvár . After the disaster of Világos on August 13th, he fled to the Ottoman Empire and went to London in 1851 .

In 1867 Perczel returned to Hungary, was elected to the lower house and belonged there to the Deák party, as its president he exercised an outstanding influence in 1873 and 1874. After that he lived in seclusion on his property until his death.
