The Morte (sometimes also spelled Morthe ) is a fourteen kilometer long stream in France that runs in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region . It is a left tributary of the Fave .

The Morte rises on the northwest flank of the Vosges ridge , in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of La Croix-aux-Mines , drains in two large arches generally in a north-westerly direction and flows 14.3 kilometers into the municipality of Neuvillers-sur-Fave as a left tributary to the Fave .
