Morten Bjerre (born May 22, 1972 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish handball player who played for the Danish first division club Viborg HK in the right back area and worked as an assistant coach.

Morten Bjerre started playing handball at Hvidovre. The left-hander came to the German Bundesliga club SG VfL / BHW Hameln in 1996 via the intermediate station Ajax København . After only one season he moved to SG Flensburg-Handewitt . After two runner-up championships and winning the Euro City Cup in 1999, he moved to THW Kiel in 2000 , with whom he won the German championship and the EHF Cup in 2002.

After playing for HSV Hamburg in the 2003/04 season , he moved to Viborg HK. With Viborg he became Danish runner-up in 2007. From 2009 he also worked as an assistant trainer at Viborg. In May 2011 he ended his active career and left Viborg. Bjerre then became an assistant coach at Skjern Håndbold . Since summer 2012 he has been assistant coach at Aalborg Håndbold , with whom he won the Danish championship in 2013. At the end of the 2013/14 season, he finished his job at Aalborg Håndbold. Since 2014 he has been coaching a youth team at Slagelse Håndboldklub.

Morten Bjerre has played 185 international appearances for the Danish men's national handball team , in which he scored 432 goals. With Denmark he finished third at the 2004 European Handball Championship .
