Mosch (noble family)
Mosch is the name of an old Silesian noble family . The form of the name changed between Muschow, Muschin, Muschczin, Musche, Mosch, Moschin and other Slavic forms. Members of the family also acquired property and reputation in the Glatzer Land and Lausitz .
history
With Thidricus de Muschov , the first documentary mention of the mosque family took place on December 12, 1245. They are first documented in the Glatzer Land in 1295 and in the Lausitz in 1427. The Glatz line became extinct in the 17th, the Silesian line in the 18th century.
coat of arms
The family coat of arms shows in a field split by blue and silver (also silver and blue) two turned sled runners (originally buffalo horns adorned with feathers) in a confused color. On the helmet with blue-silver covers three blue-silver-blue ostrich feathers. Instead of ostrich feathers, the Glatzer line had two buffalo horns as a helmet ornament.

- 1361 to 1622: Moschenhof in Arnsdorf (from 1670 Grafenort )
- Hans von Moschen owned Verlorenwasser at the beginning of the 15th century
- In 1328 Heinrich von Muschin ( Moschen ) sold the Johanniterkommende Glatz , whose Commander was Heinrich von Prag at the time, two interest coupons in Siebenhuben near Wünschelburg .
