Moscow Simply! is a Swiss film production. The film deals with the fiche affair , whereby the director Micha Lewinsky , about whom a fiche existed, decided to edit the material in the form of a comedy . The language is mostly Swiss German . The film was mainly shot in Zurich , as the police officer Viktor infiltrated the ensemble of the Zurich Schauspielhaus undercover .

Viktor Schuler is a police officer and listens to radio LoRa , among other things . His boss demands that he apply to be an extra at the theater. In the course of his work there, he fell in love with the actress Odile, despite the strange world he met with mistrust. Because the film is set in the autumn of 1989, the Fichen affair bursts right in the middle of the order and thus in the middle of Viktor and Odile's romance.

Moscow Simply! was programmed as the opening film for the Solothurn Film Festival 2020 , while the official film launch was scheduled for February 13, 2020.
