Mount Alf is a 3200 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises between Mount Sharp and Mount Dalrymple in the northern part of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
It was mapped by the so-called Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party , a team mainly to explore Marie Byrd Land between 1957 and 1958. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the US meteorologist Edward Alfred Alf (1930-2013) who was part of the crew at Byrd Station in the winter of 1957.
