Mount Besch is a 1210 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains, it towers over the mouth of the Ellen Glacier at the southern end of the Barnes Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Captain Marvin Eugene Besch (1924–1985), who between 1956 and 1957 at the establishment of the South Pole Station for the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958) was involved.
