Mount Meeks is a 2470 m high mountain in the west of the Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the Queen Maud Mountains it towers over the watershed between the Griffith and Howe glaciers .
The United States Geological Survey map it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Lieutenant Harman Taylor Meeks (1936-2005), navigator of the VX-6 squadron the Deep Freeze operations of 1966 and 1967.
