Mount Ramenskiy ( Russian Скала Раменского Skala Ramenskogo , Norwegian Ramenskijhøgda ) is a 2560 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises at the southern end of the Isdalsegga ridge in the southern Petermann chain of the Wohlthat massif .
It was discovered and mapped using aerial photographs during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . The third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) and Soviet scientists between 1960 and 1961 named the mountain after the Soviet botanist Leonti Ramenski (1884–1953). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1970.
