The Mount Superbus in Australia Main Range -Gebirge is the highest mountain in South East Queensland . It is 1,375  m high and is located in the Main Range National Park near Brisbane .

In Queensland it is the third highest mountain after Mount Bartle Frere ( 1622  m ) and Mount Bellenden Ker ( 1593  m ). The Condamine River flows in the valley on the west side of the mountain . The tip is the remainder of a shield volcano that was active over 22 million years ago.

One attraction for hikers is the wreckage of an Avro Lincoln plane that crashed on the south side of the mountain on April 9, 1955. All six inmates were killed.
