Mount Verlautz is a 2490 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Rawson Mountains of the Queen Maud Mountains, it rises immediately north of the mouth of the Poulter Glacier in the Scott Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 after Major Sidney James Verlautz (1930-1989) of the United States Army Transportation Corps , logistic investigative officer on the command staff of the support units of the United States Navy in Antarctica .
