Mr Rock & Roll is a rock song by the Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald from her first studio album This Is the Life . The song was written by Macdonald, produced by Pete Wilkinson, and released as a single on July 16, 2007.
The song is about two lonely people who meet but cannot get together. The 3-track single also contains the songs A Wish for Something More and Let's Start a Band and the 2-track single contains the song Somebody New . The piece is, according to laut.de , "a groovy good mood song that goes into your ears and legs".
Music video
The video shows Macdonald sitting alone in a room by the window and playing the song, and later with her band. In between a man and a woman are shown walking through a city.

In the British single charts, the song reached position twelve for a week on July 22, 2007, which also remained the highest position. On February 17, 2008, the song entered the singles charts in Switzerland, where it stayed at number three for two weeks. It was able to achieve the same success in the Netherlands. In Austria the highest level was 19th, in Norway 20th and in Germany 21st.
