Mugurel Mihai Buga (born December 16, 1977 in Brașov ) is a Romanian football player . The striker has been under contract with AFC Hărman in Liga III since summer 2016 .
Career
Buga's career began in 1997 with FC Brașov in his hometown when he made his first appearance in Divizia A , the highest Romanian football league, on April 23 . After his club was relegated at the end of the season, he became a regular in Divizia B in the following season . After the resurgence in the 1997/98 season as third-placed, he returned with his team a year later to the House of Lords. There he and his team secured a place in the class in the first year. At the beginning of 2001 he moved to Rapid Bucharest on loan for half a year , but could not prevail there and only came on three missions. Buga then played for three and a half years in Brașov before he made another attempt at Rapid, which signed him firmly at the beginning of 2005. After a third place in the 2004/05 season , the 2005/06 season was the most successful of his career. He finished the league with his team as runner-up behind Steaua Bucharest , while the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup were reached, where the team also had to let Steaua go. The season ended with the 2006 Cup victory , which was repeated a year later .
In the 2008/09 season , Buga was loaned to FC Brașov for a year, but could not build on previous performances there. He returned to Rapid and was transferred to Skoda Xanthi in Greece during the 2009/10 winter break . There he placed with his team twice in the midfield of the league before he returned to Romania in the summer of 2011 and signed again with FC Brașov. In Brașov, he was one of the regulars and became team captain in 2013 . In the 2014/15 season he was rarely used in the second half of the season and had to relegate his team to League II at the end of the season. Buga stayed in Brașov, but missed the rise . In summer 2016 he moved to AFC Hărman in Liga III .
National team
Buga was first called up in 2003 by the then national coach Anghel Iordănescu in his squad for two games of the Romanian national team as part of the qualification for the European Championship 2004 , but was not used. Three years later he appointed him Iordănescus successor Victor Pițurcă again in the circle of the national team for an international trip to the United States. There he came on May 25, 2006 against Northern Ireland for his first international match and scored the goal to lead 1-0. He was also on the starting grid two days later against Colombia . As a result, he only came on short assignments. On February 7, 2007, he came in the friendly against Moldova for his last use.
