The Municipio Chimoré is a district in the Department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality of Chimoré is one of six municipalities in the province of Carrasco . It borders in the northwest with the province of Chapare , in the southwest with the province Tiraque , in the south with the municipality Totora , in the southeast with the municipality Puerto Villarroel , and in the east with the department Santa Cruz .

The central place of the municipality is Chimoré with 6,219 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the southern part of the municipality.

The municipality of Chimoré is located in the Bolivian lowlands on the northern edge of the Cordillera Oriental . The climate is tropical with a pronounced time of day climate , in which the temperature fluctuations during the day are greater than during the year.
