The Municipio Totora is a district in the Department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Totora is one of six municipalities in the province of Carrasco . It borders the province of Tiraque in the northwest , the municipality Pocona in the west, the province Narciso Campero in the south, the municipality Pojo in the east , and the municipality Chimoré in the north .
The central place of the municipality is Totora with 1,925 inhabitants in the southern part of the municipality. ( 2012 census )

The Municipio Totora lies between the mountain ranges of the Cordillera Oriental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east. The climate is characterized by year-round moderate temperatures and low rainfall (see climate diagram).
