The municipality of Cuchumuela (also: Villa Gualberto Villarroel ) is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Cuchumuela is one of five municipalities in the province of Punata . It is bordered in the northwest by the Municipio Villa Rivero , in the southwest by the Province of Esteban Arce , in the east by the Province of Mizque , in the northeast by the Province of Arani and in the north by the Municipio Tacachi .
The municipality comprises a total of 15 municipalities, the central place of the municipality is Cuchumuela with 627 inhabitants in the northern part of the district. ( 2012 census )

The municipality of Cuchumuela is located in the transition area between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands in the east.
The mean average temperature of the region is just under 18 ° C (see climate diagram Cochabamba) and fluctuates only slightly between 14 ° C in June and July and 20 ° C in November. The annual precipitation is around 450 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to September with monthly precipitation below 10 mm, and a humidity period from December to February with 90 to 110 mm monthly precipitation.
